The Story Behind American Five Star Auto Repair

Long before launching a professional shop, founder Eric Ali was fascinated by mechanical systems. At just eight years old, he was already dismantling old lawn mowers and re-engineering them into functional mini bikes. What started as a childhood curiosity quickly evolved into a lifelong passion for solving complex automotive issues.
In 1993, driven by a strong work ethic and a vision for better customer care, Eric opened the doors to a small repair shop in Tempe, Arizona. He did not build American Five Star to become the largest repair facility in the state; he built it because he believed local drivers deserved an honest alternative to traditional mechanics.
